Nice wind to start with. An unusual thing happened as Carib was heading towards Saltspring on the first tack. A sea lion swam alongside and poked out and looked me straight in the eye over the rail of the cockpit. It was swimming like the dolphins sometimes do except around the stern. Very playful and popped up to look at me and took a breath many times and stayed
with me for about 10 minutes. Nice visit from nature.
